OpenKnowledge
Changelog

v0.82.0

Minor Changes

  • Add Polish (polski) to the language picker. The translation is provisional; corrections are welcome via the translation page.

Patch Changes

  • Sandboxed iframes can no longer read the local OpenKnowledge server's API, change documents, or open collaboration or agent connections. API write requests that send JSON must now label it as JSON.
  • OpenKnowledge Beta now keeps its data and credentials separate from the stable app, in ~/.ok-beta. After updating, Beta starts fresh: settings, logs, themes, agent chat history, and user config begin empty, and you sign in again. Earlier Beta data in ~/.ok stays there for the stable app.
  • Symlinks can no longer expose or overwrite private .git or OpenKnowledge files. Docs, diagrams and attachments that link into them, or outside the project, are not opened, served, saved or duplicated, and ok clone and opening a shared branch in a worktree refuse such links.
  • Agent connections in a development build now explain that the build can't connect agents so it leaves your installed app's setup alone, instead of saying the feature is unavailable.
  • Pull-only sync now always uses your configured pull interval. Signed-out followers are no longer held to one pull every 3 minutes.
  • After the local server restarts, open documents save their full content to the offline cache again once they sync. Previously the cache could keep only edits made after the restart.
  • Stable and Beta no longer share a project's server: the second app offers to stop the first one's server instead of attaching to it. This holds once both apps are on this release. Details.
  • Sync, ok pull and share-link branch switches now refuse a change that leaves a symlink pointing outside the repository, into private .git or OpenKnowledge state, at secrets such as .env, or anywhere uncheckable. Merges that change links need Git 2.38 or newer.
