OpenKnowledge
Changelog

v0.88.12

Released Oct 29, 2026.

Patch Changes

  • Reduce disk writes from backlink caching during sustained editing.
  • Documents with very large or deeply nested MDX component props stay editable instead of failing to render.
  • Building the Claude Cowork skill no longer crashes the server or ok cowork when the system file opener is missing, such as Linux without xdg-open. ok cowork says the file was built but not opened.
  • Opening a Markdown file from Finder or Open With now opens that file in its project's window when the window is already open or still loading, instead of only bringing the window to the front.
  • A table's frozen header row no longer sticks partway down the page after the window is resized.
  • Hidden editor choices now survive quitting and relaunching a project window.
  • Honor the configured Git default branch when creating a project repository.
  • Fix false broken-link warnings from agent writes and edits for existing source files in directories such as Applications, vendor, build, and dist.
  • On Windows, opening a file on a different drive no longer stops the project from starting with a "path should be a path.relative()d string" error.
  • An edit another app makes to a new page moments after OpenKnowledge first saves it now reaches the open page, and a new .mdx file opened before OpenKnowledge has listed it now loads its content instead of an empty page.
  • Agent installs such as OpenCode no longer fail on slower connections after two minutes. Downloads resume after a dropped or stalled connection, and give up only when repeated attempts make no progress.
  • A share link that needs a branch switch now shows its branch-switch prompt when the project's window is still loading, instead of being dropped.
  • Skill creation, import, refresh and rename now refuse out-of-scope or private-state destinations and linked SKILL.md files. Supporting-file changes reject links on the affected path, while refresh checks every file it would write or remove; in-scope linked skill roots remain supported.
  • Wait for the desktop watchdog worker to finish inspector teardown before starting the next session.
  • Stop oversized website skill downloads early and cancel the remaining downloads when a bundle exceeds its size limits.
  • Large projects list documents and pages faster, and the server uses about 40 MB less memory.
