OpenKnowledge
Changelog

v0.88.3

Released Oct 26, 2026.

Patch Changes

  • Archived chats now reopen from Chat history without an app reload, and failed history loads show a helpful error.
  • Let large MCP audit and project-wide lint scans run beyond 30 seconds. Client timeouts still apply, with a 120-second limit for ok mcp --port and Node's 300-second response-header deadline; narrow the scan path when needed.
  • Servers now finish starting before idle shutdown can stop them.
  • Reject __proto__ fields in frontmatter patches and merged document writes before saving, preventing silent data loss.
  • Keep bullet markers visible when normal and checkbox items share a list.
  • Bug reports now include the newest macOS update-installer logs, the machine's memory pressure before an unexpected exit, and which signal stopped the local server.
  • Keep preview tabs marked as previews when session restoration finishes after a file is opened.
  • Keep server logs, diagnostic spans, and startup errors outside project folders to avoid cloud-file sync churn. Support bundles still collect diagnostics left by older versions.
  • Stopping a server now keeps stopping its other file watchers when one of them fails to stop.
  • Closing a slide presentation after its server has already exited no longer sends a stop signal to that server's old process ID.
  • A project now opens after a restart even when its old server's process ID was reused by a process OpenKnowledge cannot inspect, such as a protected Windows service.
  • Release watcher subscriptions that finish initializing after server shutdown begins.
  • Fix inherited templates missing from nested folders on Windows.
